Ninaivellam Nithya (transl. Thoughts are only of Nithya) is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by C. V. Sridhar. The film stars Karthik and Gigi. It brings to the limelight the true love that blossoms between two hearts without discriminating against caste and/or creed. The true love even sacrifices itself for the benefit of the beloved. The true love ensures the hearts unite beyond the mundane life without giving into the crazy worldly threats.
This film brings out the true love beyond any infatuations and/or physical attractions. The lovers decide that they desist from any physical relationships until united through marriage though they live in the same place together. The lives of the lovers ended in a sorrowful phase.

The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[1][2] Many of the songs are set in ragas; 'Rojavai Thalattum Thendral' is set in Pantuvarali,[3] 'Panivizhum Malar Vanam' is in Nattai,[4][5] 'Neethane Enthan Pon Vasantham' is set in Brindavani,[6] and 'Kanni Ponnu' is set in Chatusruti Dhaivata.[7]

Reception[edit]
S. Shiva Kumar of Mid Day wrote, 'Karthik's sensitive performance and Ilayaraja's soothing music save the film from being a total washout. Gigi makes a very unsure debut and looks uncomfortable throughout.'[8]
